Get started with Lyre
What Lyre does, how to sign in with your Fulcrum Mail (Fmail) account, how the Lyre dashboard is organised, and the first steps to a working voice agent.
Lyre, the Australian voice AI platform, runs AI voice agents that answer inbound calls and place outbound calls. They can also send SMS, follow an objective, and book meetings. Every call is recorded, transcribed, summarised and scored, so you can see what happened. Inside Fulcrum Cortex, Lyre is the voice of the fleet; the Fulcrum Lyre product page explains how it fits with the other agents.
Lyre doesn't have its own sign-up form. You create your organisation by signing in with a Fulcrum Mail (Fmail) account.
- Go to lyre.au and select Get started. The Sign in to your dashboard page opens.
- Select Continue with Fmail. If you don't have an Fmail account yet, choose Create a free Fmail account first (see Create an account).
- Approve the sign-in. The first time you sign in, Lyre creates a new organisation with you as its owner.
If your Fmail address isn't verified yet, Lyre asks you to verify it on fulcrumail.app and try again. To use a different account, choose Use a different Fmail account. If a colleague invited you to an existing organisation, sign in with the same verified email address and the invitation is accepted for you. Older accounts can still sign in with Email and Password.
Find your way around the dashboard
The left sidebar groups everything into three sections:
| Group | Pages |
|---|---|
| Core | Overview, Agents, Calls, SMS, Objectives, Campaigns, Journeys, Meetings |
| Resources | Phone Numbers, Operators, Contacts, Knowledge Base, Skills, Connections |
| Platform | Organisation-level settings, including Organizations (members), Providers, Voice clones, Billing and Settings. This group starts collapsed. |
Your credit balance shows in the sidebar on every page. Sign out is at the bottom.
From sign-in to first call
- Create an agent and give it a name, an opening line and instructions. See Create and configure a voice agent.
- Test it in the browser with Talk before you connect a phone line.
- Add a phone number and assign it to the agent so it can take and make calls. See Phone numbers.
- Load credits so calls can run. See Credits and billing.
- Run outbound calls one at a time or as a campaign. See Outbound calls and campaigns.
A phone number is optional. Until you add one, you can still talk to an agent in the browser or share it through a public voice link.
Developers
Lyre also has an API for building voice features into your own software. The Lyre API quickstart and the rest of the developer reference live at docs.lyre.au. The guides here focus on the dashboard.
Pilot one workflow before expanding
Start with one clearly defined agent and a test number you control. Check its opening line, answers, handoff behaviour and recorded outcome. Add campaign volume only after the small workflow behaves as intended. Verify credits and the assigned number before investigating the model itself.
Resources beyond voice setup
The SMS and resources guide explains contacts, knowledge processing, skills, connections and team context. Use the dashboard’s current status for a connection or service; a configured item is not proof of a successful call.
