Create a Fulcrum Mail account and sign in
How to create a free @fulcrumail.app address, verify your mobile and recovery email, sign in, turn on two-step verification and reset a forgotten password.
Your Fulcrum Mail account is a free personal address that ends in @fulcrumail.app. It is also your sign-in for Lyre, Fulcrum CRM and the other Fulcrum apps. To give a team mail on your own domain, create the account first, then add a company workspace.
Create a free address
Open the free Fulcrum Mail sign-up page. The page is headed Choose your free address.
- Enter Your name.
- Choose a Username. It can be 3 to 32 letters, numbers or periods, and must start with a letter and end with a letter or number. The page shows your address as you type, then tells you This address is available. or asks you to choose another username.
- Enter a Recovery email. This must be an address you already own. It secures your account and lets you recover it.
- Enter a Password. You can choose Use this password to take the suggested strong password, or Regenerate for a new suggestion.
- Under Verify your mobile number, pick your Country or region, enter your Mobile number and select Send verification code. Type the 6-digit code from the text message and select Verify phone number. The code expires after 10 minutes. You can use Resend code after 60 seconds, or Change number.
- Select Create free account.
- Check your recovery email and open the link from Fulcrum. Select Verify email, then Open your new inbox.
Your mailbox may take a moment to become available. If you see We're preparing your mailbox., there's nothing to set up: the inbox opens automatically when it's ready. If the verification email doesn't arrive, use Resend verification email.
- Go to the Fulcrum Mail sign-in page.
- Enter your Email address and select Next, then enter your Password and select Next.
- If you've turned on two-step verification, the next screen is Verify it's you. Choose a method and select Verify. The methods are Authenticator app, Passkey or security key, Text message and Recovery code.
Accounts that are already signed in on the browser appear under Already signed in on this browser, so you can choose one without typing again. To work in more than one account at a time, see Switch workspaces and accounts.
Turn on two-step verification
- Open Settings and go to Sign-in and security.
- Enter your Current password and select Manage security.
- Add one or more methods:
- Set up authenticator: scan the QR code with your authenticator app, enter the Six-digit code, then select Confirm authenticator.
- Passkeys & security keys: give it a Passkey name (for example, "My MacBook") and select Add passkey.
- Text message: select Turn on text verification.
- Under Recovery codes, select Generate recovery codes. Select Download codes, keep them somewhere safe, then select I've saved them.
Security changes sign out your other sessions, so you'll need to sign in again on your other devices.
Reset a forgotten password
- On the sign-in page, select Forgot your password?
- Enter your Email address and select Request recovery link. For privacy, the page says a recovery email has been queued whether or not the account exists.
- Open the link in the email. On Create a new password., enter a New password and select Update password.
- Sign in with the new password.
Using Fulcrum Mail to sign in to other apps
Other Fulcrum apps let you sign in with your Fulcrum Mail account. When one does, a Choose an account screen asks which account to continue with. You can also choose Use another account, or Create account for a new free address. Lyre, for example, uses this for its Continue with Fmail button: see Getting started with Lyre.
Check the account before continuing
After sign-in, check the account menu and the active workspace. A recovery email is not necessarily your mailbox address. If verification is still required, complete the outstanding phone or email step before retrying another app’s sign-in. Repeatedly creating accounts can leave you signed in to the wrong one.
If you cannot receive a verification code
Check the destination shown on screen, the email spam folder or phone reception, then use the available resend flow. If a code expires, request a new one and use the latest code. Keep recovery codes somewhere private; never include them in a screenshot or support message.
